Coding @ Dalewood

We are starting a Computer Coding Club on Monday, November 19th. It will be every Monday for 6 weeks with ABACUS coding mentors guiding us. See Ms. Coburn in room 128 or Sam in F7 if you are interested.

Holiday choir

If you’re interested in singing for this year’s holiday choir and singing for parents in the evening, please see Mrs. Szabo in Room 131 on Friday at the start of lunch. That’s this Friday, November 16th right before you eat lunch. Practices are every Day 2 and Day 5 until further notice (Mondays and Thursdays for the next few weeks). Please meet Mrs. Szabo in the auditorium at the start of lunch recess on these days and let her know if you can’t attend practices.

National Diabetes Awareness Day

Today people wear blue to support people living with diabetes.  Diabetes affects one in three Canadians and is on the rise.  Find out more at diabetes.ca.

Senior boys and girls volleyball teams

On Monday November 19th, the senior boys and girls volleyball teams will face the teachers team. Everyone in the school is welcome to come and view the exciting event. We start our game at 11:35 sharp. Boys must have their jersey in the particulate in this game. Thanks Mt. DiFelice

Twin Day

Hey Dalewood our first spirit day is coming up!

Friday, November 23 is Twin Day!  Have some fun by dressing the same as a friend or a group of friends. Show your friendship pride and twin it!

Snow season

It’s that time of year again. Snow time! You can roll it up and build snow sculptures but you can’t throw it. The snow stays on the ground.  Thank you.

Congratulations to all our Caribou writers.  A special shout out to Cindy, Kevin, and Brooke who were tops in their grades this time.  Well done all!  Our next contest is in January.  Check the website for practice contests and games.
